Lisa Mowry - ZMA Board Member
In the 25 years she has worked for home & garden magazines, Lisa Mowry has produced more than 1,000 features for national and local magazines. She is the Atlanta editor for such well-known publications as Better Homes & Gardens, Traditional Home and Decor, as well as a dozen other of BH&G’s special interest magazines...titles such as Do-it-Yourself, Country Gardens and Beautiful Kitchens & Baths. Lisa has also been the Homes editor and a contributing writer for Atlanta Magazine for 19 years, as well as Atlanta Magazine’s HOME. She has been a regular contributor for Southern Living and StyleBlueprint blog, in addition to many other publications. Before her freelance career, she was the senior editor at Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine. Prior to her career in publishing, Lisa was a senior account supervisor at Manning, Selvage & Lee, a public relations firm; her clients included the bid for the Atlanta 1996 Olympics, Callaway Gardens, skincare moisturizer Complex 15 and Southern Homes magazine.
She is a graduate of Wake Forest University in North Carolina, with degrees in psychology and art history. Lisa also studied for a masters at Georgia State University’s Communications department. She has lived in Atlanta since 1982.
