J. Martin Lett - ZMA Board Member
J Martin Lett (“J”) is the Managing Partner of Register | Lett LLP, a boutique law firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, which specializes in the areas of corporate transactions, dispute resolution, intellectual property, media, and technology. Currently, J represents entrepreneurs, emerging businesses and established companies in a variety of business transactions and his practice is particularly focused on corporate and intellectual property law matters. His expertise includes: mergers and acquisitions; commercial and corporate finance; secured lending; private equity; commercial leasing; intellectual property protection and licensing; digital media distribution; corporate and non-profit governance; business formation and organization; and restaurant and hospitality franchising, management, and operation.
J came to the attention of the ZMA through his service on the Board of Directors of SouthArts, which is a non-profit regional arts organization and funding partner of the National Endowment for the Arts. J has been a lifelong patron and supporter of the arts and has volunteered his time and legal services on a pro bono basis for Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, a non-profit legal advocacy organization that serves the Georgia arts community. In addition, J served as the Chairperson of the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia for two consecutive terms totaling a tenure of four years during which the Section saw continued growth in its membership due to a focus on high-quality programming that J brought to the members of his Executive Board.
J is married to Katina Lett, his wife of 18 years, and has two sons, Jason (age 14) and Justin (age 10). J and Katina met in law school at the University of Georgia and now the Lett family is proud to call Johns Creek home, where the boys are active in Scouting, swim team, community service, and a too full social calendar.
