Internships
The Zuckerman Museum of Art offers competitive internships for academic credit for undergrad and graduate students. Interns will gain practical, real world experience with the inner workings of a dynamic, contemporary art museum and collecting institution. Students of Kennesaw State University are given preference, though applicants from any accredited college or university are welcome to apply.
Internships take on one of several specialized tracks at the ZMA:
Curatorial Internship: Aid with exhibition research and development. Two internships are available each
fall and spring semester, and one is available during the summer semester.
Museum Education Internship: Work on educational programming for college level and K-12 outreach. One Museum
Education Internship may available per semester at the discretion of supervising staff.
Registration/Collection Management Internship: Assist with the management and care of the permanent collection. Duties include
cataloging, art handling, inventory, rehousing, and research. Two internships are
available per semester at the discretion of supervising staff. Candidates must have
strong research and organizational skills.

- Sample lesson plan or docent tour for Museum Education applicants
Application Deadlines:
Fall semester internship (August-December): March 31st
Notification: No later than April 30th
Spring semester internship (January-May): October 1st
Notification: No later than October 31st
Summer semester internship (June-July): February 28th
Notification: No later than March 31st
Materials submitted past the deadline will not be accepted. An interview will be required for each position.
