Class Schedule

The String Project meets twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays
on the beautiful Kennesaw State campus.

Prelude Strings (beginning students) meet from 5:00--5:50 PM.

Allegro Strings (students with a year or more of playing experience) meet from 6:00--6:50 PM.

  • Parents are expected to remain on campus for the class times.
  • Parents can be in the classroom and learn along with us!

The class schedules conform with the Cobb County School District or Marietta City Schools and Kennesaw State University academic calendar. Visit the calendar page for specific class meeting dates.

What do I need to bring to class?

Every student should bring the following materials to class:

  • Instrument & Bow
  • Shoulder Rest (violin/viola) or Rock Stop (cello)
  • Rosin
  • Folding music stand
  • Book (Essential Elements)
  • Sheet music and/or other handouts
  • Pencil

Student Practice

Students are expected to practice at home for about 15-20 minutes a day.
Choosing a consistent time each day for practice is helpful for a student’s progress!
