Summer Horn Festival

Summer Music Institute

June 3-7, 2019

Students will be immersed in an exploration of music performance through a wide variety of instructional and interactive activities designed to improve individual and group musical performance. The camp is offered for rising high school freshmen through graduating high school seniors in band, orchestra, choir, piano, and jazz students.

Intensive, four-day masterclass series hosted by KSU Artists-in-Residence Richard Williams and Jason Eklund with special guest Frøydis Ree Wekre. Open to high school through graduate level horn students and auditors.

Summer Band Directors Symposium

Summer Band Directors Symposium

June 17-20, 2019

Workshop for middle and high school band directors that includes presentations on technique, artistry, rehearsal strategy, literature and repertoire, instrumental pedagogy, and more led by the School of Music’s exceptional faculty and guest clinician Gary Green. Directors may register as either a conducting participant or a non-conducting auditor.
