The KSU Dance Co. is a pre-professional dance company that performs on campus, regionally, and nationally. Students who major in Dance have the opportunity to audition at the beginning of each semester (fall/spring) to be a part of the company. The mission of the KSU Dance Co. is to bring concert dance to the community as well as serve the mission of education in dance through its outreach performances. The company tours regional venues, performing and educating students about dance as a performing art. Students in the company gain valuable touring experience while serving an important community mission. Members of the KSU Dance Co. receive academic credit for performing in season concerts, informal concerts, and in community partner projects.

  • Kennesaw State Dancer Angelita Andrade

    Angelita Andrade

    Angelita is pursuing a duel degree in Business and Dance with a concentration in Modern at Kennesaw State University. Angelita has been in the KSU Dance Company for four semesters. This experience has given her the opportunity to work with prestigious choreographers, Lisa K. Lock, Sean Nguyen and Thang Dao. Angelita is also the President of the Student Dance Collective, an organization within the KSU Dance Department where they host events and celebrations to unite the diverse artists within the KSU Dance Department. Angelita was selected to be a choreographer for ACDA 20/21. She is thrilled to continue her artistic growth through these opportunities with the KSU Dance Company.

      Emily Barton

      Emily Barton is a freshman dance major with a modern concentration. She is from Newnan, Georgia, danced for Carrollton Academy of Dance, and was a member of Parker Dance Company. She has danced for 15 years and was a competitive dancer for 13 years, receiving countless accolades throughout the years. She has a desire to learn and is eager to explore the endless possibilities of artistic expression through dance. She feels as though dance is her safe place and it has shaped her into who she is today. Although her competitive dance days are over, she is further pursuing her dance education at KSU in hopes to one day fulfill her dream of owning her own dance studio. She is honored to have been chosen to perform in Threshold and is so excited to see what the KSU dance department and company have to offer!

      • Ethan Brasseaux

        Ethan Brasseaux

        Ethan is a fourth-year dance major this year at Kennesaw State University. Ethan comes from Elite Dance Academy, Inc. in Phenix City, Alabama, where he was a part of the competition company. Ethan has trained in jazz, tap, musical theatre, heels, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, modern, and jazz funk. Currently, Ethan teaches and choreographs for local studios. Aside from dance, creating in many facets is a huge part of his life. This is his fourth consecutive fall show, making it his sixth semester performing in the company. Ethan is very grateful to perform again with KSU Dance.

        • Kennesaw State Dancer Olivia Bryant

          Olivia Bryant

          Olivia Bryant is a creative based in Atlanta, Ga. She has performed with the KSU Dance Company for 5 seasons performing works by choreographers like James Graham and Andrea Knowlton. She has had the pleasure of presenting work of her own, "The Other Side", at the American College Dance Association, Radnocular Research Forum, and Fulton County Arts Week. Her dance film, "Un à la fois", was even performed in the Opine Dance Film Festival. Olivia interned with Xcel Talent Agency and AJ Paug in 2019. During this year she was also the President of the KSU Dance Company, and this year she serves as a Diversity Ambassador with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and as a Senator for the College of the Arts. Olivia is thankful to be performing with the company this season, and she is even more thrilled to be a part of KSU Dance's very first film festival!

            Julia Captino

            Julia is a senior dance major with a concentration in modern. Her love for dance blossomed at a young age when she first stepped into the studio and she hasn't stopped dancing since. Julia began her training at various dance studios and competed in countless dance competitions. Subsequently, she attended a performing arts magnet program throughout high school before beginning her dance career at Kennesaw State University. Previously, she has had the honor of being apart of the KSU Dance Company for three semesters. Julia can't wait for the amazing opportunities to come after she graduates in the spring!

            • Gabi Chauta

              Gabi Chauta

              Gabi is a freshmen dance and business major with a concentration in modern. She trained for five years at Peacock's Performing Arts Center and then trained for two years at Dance Dynamics Studio. At both studios she received a wide range of teaching and instruction. Gabi shares her love of dance through teaching and sharing her love of dance with others. One of her favorite things about dance is the community that comes with it, so she can't wait to meet everyone and create amazing things with them! She is so excited to be a part of company!

                Gibson Daniel

                Gibson Daniel is a fourth-year student studying dance with a concentration in modern. She found her love for dance in 5th grade at Dance Dynamics after many years of softball and other sports. Gibson has trained in many styles and participated in competition dance for all of high school. She is thrilled to be working closely with Sean Nguyen-Hilton and the dancers.

                  Hope Duncan

                  Hope is a senior dance major with a concentration in ballet. She trained at Dance Dynamics Studio for 10 years where she received a versatile dance training. She continues to share her love of dance through collaborating with peers, performing, and teaching in the Atlanta area. This is her third semester in the KSU Dance Company and she is so excited!

                  • Jewel Ellis

                    Jewel Ellis

                    Jewel is a second-year dance major with a concentration in ballet. She began her dance career at the age of 3 training with Northeast Atlanta Ballet. She further continued her training at Gwinnett Ballet Theatre. Jewel has attended many intensives with the Joffery Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and the Georgia Governor's Honors Program as a dance major. This is Jewel's third time performing with the KSU Dance Company. She is honored to be a part of the company and excited to see what the future holds.

                      Taia Galloway

                      Taia is a freshmen double major in dance and exercise science with a ballet concentration. This is her first semester in the KSU Dance Company. She began dancing at the age of four with EnPointe School of Dance and later became a member of the studio's company, Praise In Motion. She danced with Praise In Motion for six years until her senior year in high school where she then joined and danced with Sugarloaf Performing Arts. Taia is extremely thrilled to learn and grow with KSU Dance Company.

                        Tori Hammond

                        Tori is a second-year dance major with a modern concentration. This will be her first semester in the KSU dance company. She started her dance career at 4-years-old under Barbra Sullivan; a former dancer for Alvin Ailey. Here at KSU she is looking to push herself to her physical and mental limits as well as broaden her dance experience. She is grateful for this opportunity and looks forward to a great semester.

                          Chaes Hatfield

                          Chaes Hatfield began his dance training at age three at his mother's dance studio, Miss Bridgette's Turning Point Dance Academy in Cincinnati, OH. He is currently pursuing a BA in Dance at Kennesaw State University on two merit-based dance scholarships. In addition to performing with the KSU Dance Company for the fourth time in his college career, Chaes has performed with Miss Bridgette's Turning Point Dance Academy (Cincinnati, OH), Gretchen Green School of Dance (Savannah, GA), and Studio 23 Dance Company (Atlanta, GA).

                            Mckinley Horn

                            McKinley Horn is a Junior Dance major with a Modern concentration. She has been dancing since the age of three and was a member of Bravo Dance Center's Company for eight years. This will be her third semester in the KSU Dance Company, and she is excited to share the stage with her talented classmates again.

                              Anna Jackson

                              Anna Jackson is a junior dance major with a concentration in modern. She trained at Fleetwood Dance Theatre for 15 years prior to her dance career at KSU. This is her fourth semester being a part of the dance company at KSU. Anna is very thankful to be back in the dance studio after the long and unexpected absence. She really looks forward to the unique and innovative opportunity that this semester provides. Anna is a student in the honors college at KSU and Vice President of the Student Dance Collective. She hopes to have a professional dance performance career after college.

                                Myles Jones

                                Myles is a junior transfer student at Kennesaw State University and is very grateful to be training with the KSU Dance Company this fall! Myles is pursuing a B.A. in Dance with a Ballet concentration, and their end goal is to teach dance in public school systems and to approach difficult political conversations through choreography. In their spare time, Myles enjoys expanding their DVD collection and spending time with their friends, as well as protesting and advocating for marginalized communities.

                                  Olivia Kraus

                                  Olivia Kraus is a sophomore dance major with a concentration in modern. This is her second semester with the KSU Dance Company. She started dancing at the age of 3, spending most of her time at Becky Jones School of Dance where she joined the performance company at age 12. Growing up, Olivia trained in contemporary, ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater. She is excited to be a part of company again this semester and is looking forward to growing with KSU dance.

                                    Simona Lucchi

                                    Simona Lucchi is a senior at Kennesaw State University. This is her sixth semester dancing with the company at KSU. Before dancing at Kennesaw, Simona was a competitive gymnast for 10 years. She is double majoring in dance, with a modern concentration, and journalism. Simona is set to graduate in the summer of 2021 and is really excited for her final semester with the KSU Dance Company!

                                      Stephanie Lozier

                                      Stephanie is a freshman dance major with a ballet concentration. She began her dance training at the age of four with Dance for His Glory in Woodstock, GA studying ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary. She trained in the pre-professional ballet academy at Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance from 2017 through 2020. She attended summer intensives at Charlotte Ballet, Next Generation Ballet, and KSU. She competed and placed in Universal Ballet Competition and Youth America Grand Prix. During her years at Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance she enjoyed dancing lead roles of Sugar Plum fairy and Arabian in The Nutcracker, and Queen of Dryads in Don Quixote. She is very excited to dance with the KSU company.

                                      • Kennesaw State Dancer Brianna Mack

                                        Brianna Mack

                                        Brianna is a sophomore pursuing a duel degree in sociology and dance with a concentration in ballet. This will be her 3rd semester in the KSU dance company. She started dance at the age of 3 and danced with Gwinnett Ballet Theatre for 10 years. She has attended multiple summer intensives including Dance Theatre of Harlem, Southeastern School of Ballet, and Texas Ballet Theatre. She was also invited to take part in Texas Ballet Theatre's professional division during their 2018-2019 season. Brianna is delighted to continue her journey within the company and hopes to broaden her dance abilities.

                                          Madison is a sophomore dance major with a modern concentration. She began her dance training at the age of 11 at Studio 23 and was a member of the dance company for 7 years. This will be her second semester participating in the KSU dance company and she is looking forward to the experience.

                                            Gracie Moore

                                            Gracie Moore is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University with a double major in exercise science and dance with a ballet concentration. This is her first time performing with the KSU Dance Company. She began dancing at the age of 3 and fell in love with ballet and since then has developed a deep passion for the arts. She trained at the Eastside School of Ballet for 13 years. She also has a background in musical theatre. Gracie is so excited to be a part of the KSU dance company and cannot wait to see how this will help her develop in her dance career.

                                              Sicily Myles

                                              Sicily Myles is a sophomore with a double major in Exercise science and Dance. This will be her first semester in the KSU Dance Company. She began her dance career at Jacobs Dance academy in Atlanta, Ga at age 5. After 5 years of instruction there she received a scholarship to the renowned Atlanta Ballet where she studied ballet for 4 years. In 2014 she joined the dance company of Eagles Landing Dance Center where she studied until graduating high school. Sicily is excited about this new opportunity and open to what is in store for the future.

                                                My name is Dominique Nixon. I am a Junior with a major in Dance as a Modern Concentration. Growing up, I was a self taught dancer starting at the age of 12. This is my second semester chosen to be in Dance Company and I'm very eager and excited for this year!

                                                  Ellie Olszeski

                                                  Ellie Olszeski started dancing when she was only three years old at her local dance studio in Roswell, Georgia. She started competing and performing with her company and fell in love with the art of dance. She continued her training for fifteen years in many different styles. Ellie was welcomed into Kennesaw State University's dance program in 2018 and has danced with the KSU Dance Company for 2 consecutive years. She currently serves as the President of the Company and enjoys working alongside the faculty to create a safe environment for their students to develop their personal artistry. Ellie hopes to continue dancing at the professional level after she earns her BA in Dance this upcoming year.

                                                    Brooklynn is a freshman dance major with a concentration in modern. This will be her first semester in KSU Dance Company. She started dancing when she was 12 at Kelly and Company Dance Studio in Savannah, Georgia with training in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and contemporary. She cannot wait to be a part of something new and fresh in this challenging time.

                                                      Leah Prince

                                                      Leah Prince is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University with a double major in dance, with a concentration in modern, and exercise science. She is a native of Augusta, Georgia, where she studied at Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School as a modern dance student, and at Kane and Company Dance Productions as a member of their elite competition team. Leah was also a part of the Georgia's Governor's Honors Program as a dance major. Leah is very excited about joining the KSU Dance Company for her third semester.

                                                        Zachary Pritts is a sophomore and also a dance major at Kennesaw State University with a ballet concentration. He trained at Rhythm Dance Center before coming to Kennesaw. He also performed in the Nutcracker for Gwinnett Ballet. This is his second time being in company and he is so excited to be a part of an amazing show.

                                                          Reagan Replogle

                                                          Reagan is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University double majoring in dance with a concentration in modern and photography. She danced and tumbled competitively for 12 years, as well as being a principal dancer for MJM Studios ballet company in her home town of Florence, Kentucky. Last Fall, Reagan had the honor of working as stage manager at KSU, and a member of the dance company in the Spring. She is excited to be joining the KSU Dance Company for her second semester and can't wait to learn and grow through movement at Kennesaw.

                                                            Deanna is a junior dance major with a concentration in modern dance. This will be her fourth semester in the KSU dance company. She danced at Star Dance Studio located in Newnan, GA, for 13 years where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. She was also a member of their performance company for 11 years. She now serves as a member on their teaching staff. Throughout her career, she has received many honors and learned so much through her teachers, professors, and fellow dancers. This past semester, she had the honor of receiving the Jo Ann Durham Scholarship in Dance (modern concentration). She is so excited to be a part of the KSU Dance Company.

                                                              Char Tep is a junior at Kennesaw State University pursuing a dance major with a modern concentration. This is Char's fourth semester in the dance company. Char previously danced with Sugarloaf Ballet for 11 years. When Char was 14, she underwent a spinal fusion to align her spine and improve her scoliosis. She is so thankful to be able continue her career here in the department. Char is excited to be a part of the KSU Dance Company for another semester!

                                                                Annessa is a sophomore double major in exercise science and dance with a ballet concentration. This will be her third semester with the KSU Dance Company. She began her dance career at the age of 3, dancing most recently at the Madison Dance Studio. She was a part of the Madison Dance Studio's Ensemble for 7 years, the Middle Georgia Youth Ballet for 3 years, and the Nutcracker of Middle Georgia for 8 years. Annessa is very excited and thankful to be a part of KSU's dance company again and ready to continue her dance career.

                                                                  Lydia is a sophomore with a double major in exercise science and dance with a concentration in ballet. This is her first semester as a part of the KSU Dance Company and she is very excited to expand her portfolio and be a part of the program. She started seriously trading in ballet at the age of 10 and has since competed and taken classes from many prolific names in the dance community. Lydia is very excited to see where this semester takes her and is extremely grateful to be a part of the 2020 KSU Dance Company.

                                                                    Carly Walters is a freshman double majoring in dance and business management. She has trained in the ballet academy of Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance for seven years. She has also attended summer intensives with Texas Ballet Theater, American Ballet Theatre in NYC, and the Orlando Ballet School. Her roles have included: Kitri in Don Quixote, Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and Swanhilda in Coppelia. This is her first semester in the Company and she is very excited!

                                                                      Laura Grace Wenning is a senior ballet concentration here at KSU and has two minors in Psychology and Nutritional Science. She received her dance training from Wei Dongsheng at Atlanta Professional Dance Academy. This will be her fourth consecutive season working with the KSU dance company. She overjoyed with this semester’s opportunity for growth work to as rehearsal director under the direction of McCree O'Kelley. She is looking forward to what the future holds and how she is will be challenged as a dancer, choreographer, and artist.

                                                                          Emily White is in her senior year at Kennesaw State University. She is a Dance major with a concentration in Ballet as well as a Public Health Education major. This is her third time dancing with the KSU Dance Company. Emily began dancing at the age of 2 and a half at South Georgia Ballet in Thomasville, GA where she did ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary until she graduated in 2017. Her goal for her career is to dance professionally with Terminus Modern Ballet Theater. Emily is excited and grateful to be a part of the KSU Dance Company, and especially excited about the new experience of being a rehearsal assistant.

                                                                            Hi, my name is Kennedy Wright. I am a freshman, and this will be my first semester in the KSU Dance Company. I began my dance training at the age of 10 at the O.N.E Dance Studio. I am double majoring in Dance, with a Modern concentration, and Management. I am very excited to be a part of company this year, and look forward to growing and seeing what the future holds.

                                                                              Kayla Brown

                                                                              Kayla is a senior dance major with a modern concentration and minoring in psychology. She grew up dancing under the direction of Janice Cater and Calli Jones competing across the southeast. She continues her dancing outside of school with choreographing and teaching within the Kennesaw area. This is her first semester on the production crew and is so excited for the new experience.

                                                                                Aubrey is a senior dual-degree student seeking a BA in Dance as well as a BS in Psychology. She has been a part of the KSU Dance Company once, and this is her first time on the production team for the department. She is currently serving as the Production Manager, which will enable her to graduate in December! Aubrey would like to thank all of her professors and fellow students for making this unique experience a memorable one.

                                                                                  Hannah is a sixth-year college student. She is majoring in dance with a concentration of ballet and minoring in mathematics. She began training at the age of 8 at the Cartersville School of Ballet under the Artistic Director, Terri Kayser. This is her first semester in the KSU Dance Company, and she is excited to be working with the production crew.

                                                                                    Katie is a junior dance major with a concentration in Ballet. She trained at the Dance Theatre of Dalton for fourteen years, and taught for four years, before coming to Kennesaw State. She has been in the Dance Company at KSU three semesters. This is her second time being on the production crew, and she is so excited to be able to be on campus this semester!

                                                                                      Emilie Thuman is a senior dance and nursing major with a modern concentration. She has danced with Atlanta Festival Ballet with Nicolas Pacana Gregory Aaron, Atlanta Ballet, and Dance Contempra in Peachtree City with Paulo Jenkins. This will be her third time participating in KSU Dance Company and she is excited for this upcoming semester!
