The KSU Dance Co. is a pre-professional dance company that performs on campus, regionally, and nationally. Students who major in Dance have the opportunity to audition at the beginning of each semester (fall/spring) to be a part of the company. The mission of the KSU Dance Co. is to bring concert dance to the community as well as serve the mission of education in dance through its outreach performances. The company tours regional venues, performing and educating students about dance as a performing art. Students in the company gain valuable touring experience while serving an important community mission. Members of the KSU Dance Co. receive academic credit for performing in season concerts, informal concerts, and in community partner projects.

  • Kennesaw State Dancer Angelita Andrade

    Angelita Andrade

    Angelita is a third year Dance major with a Concentration in Modern at Kennesaw State University. Angelita has been in the KSU Dance Company for five semesters. This experience has given her the opportunity to work with prestigious choreographers, Lisa K. Lock, Sean Nguyen and Thang Dao. Angelita is the President of the Student Dance Collective and Social Media Manager for the Dance Company at KSU. Angelita was selected to be a choreographer and film director for ACDA 20/21 where her film, “Hear Me, I Have Nothing to Say”, will be presented and adjudicated. She is thrilled to continue her artistic growth through these opportunities with the KSU Dance Company.

      Emily Barton

      Emily Barton is a freshman dance major with a modern concentration. This is her second semester as a KSU dance company member. She is from Newnan, Georgia, danced for Carrollton Academy of Dance, and was a member of Parker Dance Company. She has danced for 15 years and was a competitive dancer for 13 years, receiving countless accolades throughout the years. Outside of her dance education at KSU, she now choreographs for her studio back home! She has a desire to learn and is eager to explore the endless possibilities of artistic expression through dance. She feels as though dance is her safe place and it has shaped her into who she is today. Although her competitive dance days are over, she is further pursuing her dance education at KSU in hopes to one day fulfill her dream of owning her own dance studio. She is honored to have been chosen to be in two pieces for the spring show and is so excited to begin this journey!

        Mya Bresler

        Mya is a sophomore double major in illustration and dance with a concentration in ballet. She received a majority of her training from Dance and Music Academy in Woodstock, where she fell in love with dance and decided to pursue it. Growing up she learned dance styles such as Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Contemporary. She has also performed in Dance and Music Academy's Nutcracker productions. This is her first time being a part of the KSU dance company and she's so grateful to be surrounded by such amazing dancers.

          Tani Brown

          Tani Brown- Hello ! My name is Natalie Brown . But I go by Tani . I am 18 years old and from Douglasville , Ga . I am a freshman majoring in dance and business management . I have been dancing since I was 6 years old and have curated a love and passion for dance . I am attending the KSU dance department to further develop my skills to one day be a great addition to a dance company , travel around the world and eventually move on to open up my own dance studio

            Grace Buckley

            Grace is a junior dance major with a modern concentration, though she has a background in ballet. She began dancing at five years old with the Lilburn School of Ballet and continued her training with their pre-professional company, Northeast Atlanta Ballet, from 2010-2018. This is Grace’s fourth year performing with the KSU Dance Company. Here at KSU, she is looking to broaden her dance experience and become a well-rounded dancer.

              Emma Bush

              Emma is a Freshman Dance major with a modern concentration. She is from Dallas, Georgia. Emma trained at CK Danceworks for 17 years and has taught dance for 4 years. She has trained in a plethora of genres including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, musical theater, etc. She has previously worked with kids aging from 1 years old to 18 years old as well as working with special needs students who share a love for dance. She is thrilled to be involved in Spring Company and cannot wait to see what the KSU Dance Department brings her in the future.

                Jordan Carter

                Jordan Carter is currently a sophomore at Kennesaw State University focusing on Dance and Medical Sociology. This is her first time performing with the KSU Dance Company, and she could not be more thrilled! Jordan has been dancing passionately for 14 years, and even had the honor of being a part of Ridge Dance Company where she expanded her skills in all types of dance from Contemporary to Jazz to Hip Hop and many more. Being able to be part of Company Dance again makes Jordan excited for the next semesters to come! 

                • Gabi Chauta

                  Gabi Chauta

                  Gabi Chauta is a freshmen dance and business major.  She trained at Peacock’s Performing Arts Center for five years and Dance Dynamics studio for two years.  For the years that she trained with these studios, she received a wide range of instruction in many styles.  One aspect about dance that Gabi feels is most important is the importance of loving the art and showing it in the movement that is created.  Gabi tries to share her love for the art through teaching and taking class.  Gabi can’t wait to be a part of the KSU company for the second time!

                    Omari Collier

                    Omari is a junior at Kennesaw State University, majoring in Media & Entertainment and minoring in Dance. This is his second semester in the KSU Dance Company. At the age of 6, Omari began his dance training at Carla's Dance Factory and was a member of their competitive performing company for 11 years. While attending college, he has trained and performed with Impact Dance of Atlanta. Omari is also a dance instructor and choreographer. During the summer of 2020, he was selected as a #CapezioCreates finalist. Omari is excited to be a part of the company and looks forward to an incredible semester.

                      Hannah Culp

                      Hannah is a senior dance major with a ballet concentration and is minoring in mathematics. She trained at the Cartersville School of Ballet under the Artistic Director, Terri Kayser, for 15 years. This is her second semester in the KSU Dance Company. Her first semester in company she worked as part of the production crew. Hannah is thrilled to be performing this semester for KSU Dance Company.

                        Sam Doyle

                        Sam is junior pursuing a dual degree in Secondary Education and Dance, with concentrations in Mathematics and Ballet, respectively. She trained at Atlanta Dance Central for seven years in a variety of dance styles before coming to KSU. She was also an assistant teacher at Atlanta Dance Central and is regularly invited back to teach classes there. This is her first semester in the KSU Dance Company, and she is so excited to be a part of the company!

                          Taia Galloway

                          Taia is a freshmen double major in dance and exercise science with a ballet concentration. This is her second semester in the KSU Dance Company. She began dancing at the age of four with EnPointe School of Dance and later became a member of the studio's company, Praise In Motion. She danced with Praise In Motion for six years until her senior year in high school where she then joined and danced with Sugarloaf Performing Arts. Taia is extremely thrilled to learn and grow with KSU Dance Company.

                            Rosalynd Hambrick

                            Rosalynd is a freshman dance Major with a modern concentration.She is from Sandy Springs, Georgia,danced for Dream Big Dance Company, and is a dance alumni from the performing arts program of North Springs high school. She has been dancing for 5 years, and has done numerous professional performances for major events, festivals, and charities.This is her first semester in company but is excited to further her experience within the dance department. She feels that dance is where she really thrives and it’s a comfort for her. She’s ready to expand her mind in the world of dance and grow as an open minded and artistic human being.She hopes to be a choreography and an all around entertainer, and she can’t wait to connect with other creative beings that will help her grow and become who she wants to be later in her dance career.

                              Tori Hammond

                              Tori is a second-year dance major with a modern concentration. This will be her first semester in the KSU dance company. She started her dance career at 4-years-old under Barbra Sullivan; a former dancer for Alvin Ailey. Here at KSU she is looking to push herself to her physical and mental limits as well as broaden her dance experience. She is grateful for this opportunity and looks forward to a great semester.

                                Tyler Hayes

                                Tyler Hayes is a freshman dance major pursuing her degree with a concentration in modern dance. This is her first semester in the KSU Dance Company. Tyler is originally from Rome, Georgia, where she danced with the Rome Civic Ballet for thirteen years. There she was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and contemporary dance. Tyler looks forward to furthering her training with the Kennesaw State Dance Department. She is excited to be dancing with the spring dance company and is so honored to have this amazing experience!

                                  Emma Hershberger

                                  Emma Hershberger is a freshman at Kennesaw State and is double majoring in Dance with a Modern concentration and Theatre and Performance studies with a Musical Theatre concentration. She previously danced at Dancentre South for eight years and was the student choreographer for the Woodstock High School musical theatre class for two years. Emma also enjoys taking aerial silks classes at North Georgia Aerials. She is very excited dance with KSU company this semester.

                                    Allie Hunnicutt is a junior exercise science major and a dance minor. This is her second time being in the KSU dance company. Prior to dancing at KSU, Allie danced at Academy of Dance in Warner Robins for 8 years. She was apart of their performance and competitive company for 5 years as well. Allie is so excited to have the opportunity this semester to dance with KSU!

                                      Kenadee Knight

                                      Kenadee Knight is a junior dance minor from Conyers, GA. She trained for two years with the Conservatory of Dance and Fine Arts in Decatur, GA, and then trained with the Conyers School of Ballet for five years. Kenadee was also in the first graduating class for Academy for Performing and Visual Arts at Heritage High School, where she trained for three years. She accepted the Academy Dance Award and a Georgia Department of Education Performing Arts Seal at the end of her time with the Academy. She decided to continue her dance studies at KSU, taking classes with choreographers such as Andrea Knowlton. She also serves as an executive board member for K-Pop Dance Club at KSU, where she was recently named president. This is Kenadee’s first semester in the KSU Dance Company, and she is excited to grow and learn more throughout the semester!

                                        Olivia Kraus

                                        Olivia Kraus is a sophomore dance major with a concentration in modern. This is her third semester with the KSU Dance Company. She started dancing at the age of 3, spending most of her time at Becky Jones School of Dance where she joined the performance company at age 12. Growing up, Olivia trained in contemporary, ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater. She is excited to be a part of company again this semester and is looking forward to growing with KSU dance.

                                          Ryann Leak is a Freshman Dance major with a Modern concentration. She began her dance training at the age of eight at RISPA and was a member of the dance company for 9 years. This will be her first semester in the KSU Dance Company, and she is looking forward to the experience.

                                            Mackenzie Long

                                            Mackenzie Long is a freshman dance major with a modern concentration at Kennesaw State University. She is from Dallas, Georgia, where she has danced at her local dance studio, CK DanceWorks, since she was six years old. She has danced for 13 years and was a competition dancer for 5 years where she competed in large groups and solos. Mackenzie has assisted and taught dance classes with her studio and at the YMCA, working with ages 2 all the way up to 13. Dance has always been a form of expression and storytelling for her and a way to escape from reality even if just for three minutes on a stage. Although she no longer competes, she wants to continue to perform on stages and bring important ideas and thoughts onto the stage to share with the world through her dancing, and she is honored to have been chosen for Spring Company to put someone’s great idea out there. She is excited to see where her journey with the KSU Dance Department will continue to take her!

                                              Stephanie Lozier

                                              Stephanie is a freshman dance major with a ballet concentration. She began her dance training at the age of four with Dance for His Glory in Woodstock, GA studying ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary. She trained in the pre-professional ballet academy at Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance from 2017 through 2020. She attended summer intensives at Charlotte Ballet, Next Generation Ballet, and KSU. She competed and placed in Universal Ballet Competition and Youth America Grand Prix. During her years at Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance she enjoyed dancing lead roles of Sugar Plum fairy and Arabian in The Nutcracker, and Queen of Dryads in Don Quixote. She is very excited to dance with the KSU company.

                                                Madison Martin

                                                Madison is a sophomore dance major with a modern concentration. She began her dance training at the age of 11 at Studio 23 and was a member of the dance company for 7 years. This will be her third semester participating in the KSU dance company and she is looking forward to the experience.

                                                  Brooklynn is a freshman dance major with a concentration in modern. This will be her first semester in KSU Dance Company. She started dancing when she was 12 at Kelly and Company Dance Studio in Savannah, Georgia with training in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and contemporary. She cannot wait to be a part of something new and fresh in this challenging time.

                                                    Breanna Pollock

                                                    Breanna is a first-year dance major with a concentration in modern. She has been training in dance for over ten years. She was involved in dance heavily at her school as well as in the studio. She participated in four years of dance line and two years of competition dance throughout her high school career. Breanna has also taught and choreographed for other teams and dancers in her area. She feels she has found a home within the dance department and is extremely excited to share this performance opportunity with her new peers.

                                                      Leah Prince

                                                      Leah Prince is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University with a double major in dance, with a concentration in modern, and exercise science. She is a native of Augusta, Georgia, where she studied at Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School as a modern dance student, and at Kane and Company Dance Productions as a member of their elite competition team. Leah was also a part of the Georgia's Governor's Honors Program as a dance major. Leah is very excited about joining the KSU Dance Company for her third semester.

                                                        Zachary Pritts is a sophomore and also a dance major at Kennesaw State University with a ballet concentration. He trained at Rhythm Dance Center before coming to Kennesaw. He also performed in the Nutcracker for Gwinnett Ballet. This is his second time being in company and he is so excited to be a part of an amazing show.

                                                          Reagan Replogle

                                                          Reagan is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University double majoring in dance with a concentration in modern and photography. She danced and tumbled competitively for 12 years, as well as being a principal dancer for MJM Studios ballet company in her home town of Florence, Kentucky. Last Fall, Reagan had the honor of working as stage manager at KSU, and a member of the dance company in the Spring. She is excited to be joining the KSU Dance Company for her second semester and can't wait to learn and grow through movement at Kennesaw.

                                                            Ashley Rismondo is a freshman dance major with a concentration in Ballet. She is also pursuing a second major in theatre and performance studies with a concentration in acting. She trained at Georgia Dance Conservatory for 14 years and danced with the school's affiliate pre professional company Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre for 10 years. Throughout her training she attended several summer intensives including Boston Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet. This is her first semester with the KSU Dance company. She is very excited to be a part of the company this spring and can't wait to see what the seniors create.

                                                              Emmie Rogers

                                                              Emmie is a double major in Marketing and Dance. She has been dancing since she was 8 years old. At Shawnee School of Ballet, she was a member of their company for 7 years and performed in many shows such as Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, Beauty and the Best, etc. In Nutcracker, some of her roles were Clara, Arabian Queen, and Snow Queen. Emmie was also the co-captain of her high schools competition dance team and won the state competition in hip hop. She also used to do competitive horseback riding for 4 years. This is Emmie’s first semester as a dance major as well as a member of the company. At KSU, Emmie is a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She is super excited to be a part of the spring company and can’t wait to see where she’ll go in the dance department.

                                                                Chria Sharp is in her junior year as a dance major with a concentration in modern and a minor in business management. This is her first experience being a part of the KSU Dance company! Chria has been dancing since the age of five at East Athens Educational Dance Center, training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, and African Dance. Eventually, she plans to become a commercial dancer and obtain more experience performing on stage. Chria is so delighted to be a member of the KSU dance company and desires to have more opportunities to be on stage.

                                                                  Carly Walters is a freshman double majoring in dance and business management. She has trained in the ballet academy of Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance for seven years. This past summer, she was certified in the Revolutionary Principles of Movement curriculum and is also continuing her dance education through teaching at AABD. She has attended summer intensives with Texas Ballet Theater, American Ballet Theatre in NYC, and the Orlando Ballet School. She is very excited for this semester in spring company!

                                                                      Hope Duncan

                                                                      Hope is a senior dance major with a concentration in ballet. She trained at Dance Dynamics Studio for 10 years where she received a versatile dance training. She continues to share her love of dance through collaborating with peers, performing, and teaching in the Atlanta area. This is her third semester in the KSU Dance Company and she is so excited!

                                                                        Carmella Durand is a sophomore dance major with a modern concentration. This is her first semester in the KSU Dance Production. She began her dance career at the age of 3 and continued her training at Gwinnett Ballet Theatre and The Royal Dance Academy. Carmella is very excited to be a part of the Production team for the Spring Student Dance Concert 2021 and can’t wait to continue her dance career at KSU dance.

                                                                          Jillian Edwards is a junior Psychology major with a minor in Dance. She began dancing at the age of 12 in her local studio in her hometown. Jillian’s favorite thing about KSU dance is being able to experience different styles of dance and have the ability to grow as a performer. She is thankful for the opportunity to be in the KSU dance company this semester.

                                                                            Myles Jones

                                                                            Myles is a junior transfer student at Kennesaw State University and is very grateful to be training with the KSU Dance Company this fall! Myles is pursuing a B.A. in Dance with a Ballet concentration, and their end goal is to teach dance in public school systems and to approach difficult political conversations through choreography. In their spare time, Myles enjoys expanding their DVD collection and spending time with their friends, as well as protesting and advocating for marginalized communities.

                                                                              Gracie Moore is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University with a double major in nursing and dance with a ballet concentration. This is her first time working in production for the KSU Dance Company. She began dancing at the age of 3 and fell in love with ballet and since then has developed a deep passion for the arts. She trained at the Eastside School of Ballet for 13 years. She also has a background in musical theatre. Gracie is so excited to be a part of the production crew for the KSU dance company and cannot wait to see how this will help her develop in her career.

                                                                                Alejandra Moreno

                                                                                Alejandra Moreno is a Hispanic Junior dance student at Kennesaw State University currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Modern dance. She started her dance training at age 12 in different techniques as Modern, Ballet, and Latin dance. She is curious and open-minded about exploring different forms of dance and multicultural experiences that contribute to her Latino cultural heritage

                                                                                  Ellie Olszeski

                                                                                  Ellie Olszeski started dancing when she was only three years old at her local dance studio in Roswell, Georgia. She started competing and performing with her company and fell in love with the art of dance. She continued her training for fifteen years in many different styles. Ellie was welcomed into Kennesaw State University's dance program in 2018 and has danced with the KSU Dance Company for 2 consecutive years. She currently serves as the President of the Company and enjoys working alongside the faculty to create a safe environment for their students to develop their personal artistry. Ellie hopes to continue dancing at the professional level after she earns her BA in Dance this upcoming year.

                                                                                    Alexandra Walsh

                                                                                    Alexandra Walsh- Alexandra is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a ballet concentration. She has been dancing for 17 years and is currently studying under dance professionals including McCree O’Kelley, Thang Dao, and Caitlin Gray, with training in styles including ballet and pointe, tap, jazz, musical theatre, and ballroom. She has broadened her training through summer dance intensives such as the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program and the Rockette Summer Intensive, as well as intensives with Orlando Ballet and Kennesaw State University. Alexandra has recently received acceptance to state and national research conferences such as GURC and NCUR for her dance research focusing on the history of The Nutcracker ballet in the United States. Her artistic aspirations include dance performance, choreography, teaching, and dance entrepreneurship. She is so excited to be part of the magic of putting on a great show as a member of the production crew!
