Kennesaw State University Dance Festival offers high school students the opportunity to engage with the professional practice of dance through classes and performances. The festival provides dancers access to diverse programming, encourages meaningful connections with peer schools and studios, and sets the stage to support and celebrate the work of talented young artists.
Join us March 27-28, 2021, for a weekend of robust master classes taught by KSU Dance faculty, workshops on relevant dance topics, and a digitally streamed KSU Dance Festival Screendance Concert on 3/28.
The registration link, and a job aid on how to navigate the registration process, is available below. The class schedules are posted on the Festival Schedule page. The filming schedule and guidelines for submission and participation in the KSU Dance Festival Screendance Concerts is posted on the Concerts page.
Attendance caps are now lifted. If there are still open slots in classes, additional students may be registered, or students may register for a 2nd block by paying a second registration fee. There is no limit to the number of students a group may register. You will be sent a new "payment due" email for these additional registrations.
Each group will register for classes first and then be sent an invoice and instructions on how to pay for the registration. Each group will also be asked to select if they are submitting a pre-recorded work for inclusion in the screendance concert or if they want to perform and have a work recorded on the Dance Theater stage for inclusion in the screendance concert.
Registration closes at 5PM, Friday, February 12th.REGISTER
How to Register
There is a new, three-part, registration process for the 2021 Festival.
Step one: Follow the link above to the booking website. Here you will register your group and select which block of classes each of your individual students wish to take. A block is a pair of classes that are taken together. All of your students do not have to take the same blocks/classes together, but a registered chaperone must be onsite if your students are present. If you do not know the names of all of the students who will be attending, you may fill in the name of your studio or school and a number to reserve the class slot until the information is obtained.
Example: Dancing Feet Studio #7, Dancing Feet Studio #8…
There is a limit of 15 students per group and each class has a capacity limit of 10 to 15 individuals. A given class will fill up and become unavailable to book when it reaches capacity.
Step two: A few days after you book your students into classes, you will be sent an invoice and a link to pay with a credit card at the KSU Mall (an online payment site). If you need to pay with a check, you will receive further instructions. Once payment is received, your class slots and any KSU Dance Festival Screendance Concert registrations are now locked in.
Step three: After you pay, you will receive a receipt and a more detailed registration package will be sent to you. You will be requested to fill in the names of the students, chaperones, and additional registration information. This package will be due no later than 2/26/21.
