Auditions for Shakespeare Kennesaw

Actors for the Shakespeare Kennesaw company will include local professional favorites, several of whom are members of Actors' Equity Association.

Shakespeare Kennesaw will be holding auditions for both AEA and Non-AEA professional performers for this summer’s inaugural production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to be directed by Rick Lombardo. First rehearsal will be Tuesday, May 15th, with performances from June 13th – 23rd. Performances will take place outdoors at the Legacy Gazebo Amphitheatre on the Kennesaw campus of Kennesaw State University.

The open audition will take place:
Saturday, March 3rd from 10AM – 5PM on the Kennesaw campus of Kennesaw State University in the Onyx Theatre, located at: 462 Prillaman Way, Kennesaw, GA 30144

All types are sought, and all roles are open. Please be sure to bring a headshot and resume on the day of the audition. Actors should prepare 2-3 minutes of Shakespeare text (comic or dramatic). Verse or prose are both acceptable.


PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE ATTENDING ATLANTA UNIFIED AND PERFORMING A SHAKESPEAREAN PIECE you do not need to come to this audition.

Shakespeare Kennesaw exists to bring powerful and engaging outdoor professional productions of the work of William Shakespeare to the Metro Atlanta region. We believe these plays can bring together our diverse community to explore our common humanity. We do this work by bringing together the finest talents in our region working alongside Kennesaw State University faculty, alumni, and our undergraduate intern company.
