The KSU School of Music is excited to provide a variety of festivals and workshops each year for students from elementary age to adult. Explore our 2016-17 programs below.

    KSU Viola Day invites middle school and high school violists to experience a day of masterclasses, performances, and fun led by KSU’s exceptional string faculty. Participants will receive technical instruction, hear a professional recital, and end their day performing in KSU’s Morgan Concert Hall!

    • Registration fee is $30 per student and includes lunch and a t-shirt.

    KSU Women’s Choral Day is a one-day choral event that invites high school singers from the metro Atlanta area to come to campus, work with KSU’s outstanding voice faculty, learn new music, and perform a public concert in Morgan Hall at the Bailey Performance Center! Sign up today to experience the joy of over 200 women’s voices joining together in song!

    KSU Music Theory Day invites high school juniors and seniors to Kennesaw State University for instruction from KSU School of Music faculty in preparation for college music theory and aural skills placement exams. Participants will receive over three hours of instruction, test preparation materials, sample exams, and lunch. Although parents are welcome to attend, we suggest they drop of their students as there will be very little opportunity for parent-professor interaction during the three-hours of instruction.

      Atlanta area clarinetist Jeffrey Brooks is an Artist Affiliate in Clarinet at Emory University, adjunct Clarinet Professor at Morehouse College, and the Clarinet Instructor at the Westminster Schools. He has been heard as a concerto soloist, recitalist, recording artist, and has performed with organizations such as the Atlanta Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Charleston Symphony, the Savannah Philharmonic, and many more.
