The KSU Dance Company is a pre-professional dance company that performs on campus, regionally and nationally. Students who major or minor in dance have the opportunity to audition at the beginning of each semester (fall/spring) to be a part of the company. The mission of the KSU Dance Company is to bring concert dance to the community, as well as serve the mission of education in dance through its outreach performances. The company tours regional venues, performing and educating students about dance as a performing art. Students in the company gain valuable touring experience while serving an important community mission. Members of the KSU Dance Company receive academic credit for performing in season concerts, informal concerts, as well as in community partner projects.
Fall 2017 KSU Dance Company
Isabella was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. She moved to Georgia to start her dance career with the KSU dance department. Isabella started dancing at four years of age and have not stopped dancing. She is in her second year at Kennesaw State University focusing on Ballet as her concentration in the department. Isabella has trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. Ballet and hip hop are her two favorite genres of dance.
Kelsey is a sophomore at KSU and majors in Dance with a modern concentration. She has been dancing for sixteen years and studied with the Charleston Dance Institute and the Charleston Youth Company. This is her second semester in the KSU Dance Company and she is very excited to be a part of it.
Ethan is a sophomore dance major this year at Kennesaw State University. Ethan comes from Elite Dance Academy, Inc. in Phenix City, Alabama, where he was apart of the competition company. Ethan has trained in jazz, tap, musical theatre, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, modern, and jazz funk! Aside from dance, musical theatre is a huge part of his life. This is his third consecutive semester performing in the company and he hopes to be apart of the KSU Dance Company for many years to come!
Mackenzie is a freshman at KSU and has been dancing for 14 years. She has a background in competitive dance, although she looks forward to furthering her training in classical dance during her time at KSU. Mackenzie is thrilled to perform as a member of the KSU Dance Company!
Olivia is freshmen dance major with a concentration in modern, and she is also a first year company member. She previously danced at Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts as a dance major and also at Price Performing Arts Center in Atlanta Georgia. While there, she has had the opportunity to work with many choreographers such as Troy Powell of Alvin Ailey II and also Adam Parson of Commonality Dance Company. Olivia is elated to be a new member of the company and can't wait to perform!
Kelly is a freshman at KSU and this is her first semester in the KSU Dance Company. She is so thrilled to be a part of this amazing company and to have the opportunity to work with some amazing choreographers and students. Kelly danced at Dance Arts Centre from 15 years and was a part of their performing arts company. She is a dance minor and will continue to pursue dance for the rest of her college experience. She is not sure what the future has in store for her, but she is eager to find out.
Gabrielle is a junior here at Kennesaw State University. She is double major in dance and business management. She is currently a modern concentration and has been dancing for sixteen years.
Lindsay is a junior here at Kennesaw State University majoring in both Dance and Business Management. She is so excited to perform with her fellow peers. She is also one of the choreographers whose work will be showcased at ACDA.
Briannajoy is a senior modern concentration in the KSU Dance Department. She has studied african dance, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip hop, heels, ballet, and ballroom. She has also interned with Dance Canvas and Dance 411 and is currently apart of ATLA Connect.
Monika has been dancing for 17 years and has trained in classical ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, clogging, and examined with high commendation through Cecchetti Intermediate/Advanced 1 syllabus (grade 6). Monika began her training in North Carolina before moving to Georgia where she most recently trained in Johns Creek and Suwanee with Atlanta Professional Dance Academy and Suwanee Academy of the Arts. She traveled to China 6 times last year dancing with APDA to perform and compete in the televised industry. Monika is currently a Dance Major (ballet concentration) in her sophomore year at KSU and is very excited to have the opportunity to perform for the first time in the KSU Dance Company.
Nina is a sophomore at Ksu as a dance major with a ballet concentration. This is her first semester at Ksu and she is excited to perform with the Ksu Dance Company! Nina has traveled to China with Atlanta Professional Dance Academy to compete on the tv show "Amazing Chinese", where her dance studio performed with 18 deaf male dancers and they collectively won the competition. She is excited for this chance to perform such beautiful choreography to further her artistry through dance.
Avery is excited to be part of the KSU Dance company this semester. He has been dancing for 13 years, studying in many different styles at Great Gig Dance Co. He has previously been seen with the Atlanta Lyric Theater in West Side Story, Mel Brook's Young Frankenstein, and Beauty and the Beast, as well as Tris Day's music video "Bones". He would like to thank the faculty of KSU's Dance Program and his friends and family for all the support.
Sarah is a junior at Kennesaw State University and is double majoring in Biology and Dance with a concentration in ballet. This will be Sarah's fourth semester as a part of the performance company, and she has served as assistant stage manager on the production crew. Prior to attending KSU, Sarah trained extensively at Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance, where she now has the honor of teaching. She is also actively involved at her church where she is a small group leader with the student ministry. Additionally, Sarah has the honor of serving as an officer for the Kennesaw State chapter of NHSDA and is very excited to see what this semester of company will hold.
Evann is currently a Dance Major at Kennesaw State University. Before college, she was a competitive dancer at Roswell City Dance and Studio 23 for twelve years. This is Evann's first time performing with the KSU Dance Company and she is absolutely thrilled! She is so thankful for all the different experiences and opportunities the company has given her. Furthermore, she hopes you enjoy the show!
Bailey is an upcoming third year dance and psychology major at Kennesaw State University. She received her primary training at Buford School of Ballet, where she was taught the fundamental techniques of classical ballet and modern dance. She is honored to be spending her fifth consecutive semester as a member of the KSU dance company.
Jaslyn is currently a senior here at KSU as a dance major with concentration in modern. She works as Dance Canvas' Administrative assistant and works in ticketing with the Office Of Patron Services. Jaslyn also has a strong passion for hip hop, and loves to teach stiletto dance in her free time.
Michaela is a Sophomore ballet concentration at KSU. She has trained in classical ballet, modern, and jazz for 17 years. This will be Michaela's third year performing in the KSU Dance Company.
Lily is a sophomore dance major with a ballet concentration. This will be her second semester in the KSU dance company and she also has been on production crew for a semester. She began her dance career at the age of 3 at British Academy of Performing Arts and was a part of the company there for 11 years. Lily is very excited to be a part of the company this semester and see what else is in store in the future with KSU dance.
Sarah is starting her Senior year at Kennesaw State University and this is her fourth semester being a part of the KSU Dance Company. She is a Dance Major concentrating in Modern and she is also a member of the Coles' College Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business Program. She trained in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern at Steps of Faith Dance Studio and during high school she branched out to compete in musical theater and voice competitions. This past semester she completed an internship as an understudy and Executive Administrative Business Assistant with Gotta Dance Contemporary Company in Atlanta. She is so honored to get to perform with the company and excited to fulfill her goal to work with Ivan Pulinkala in his work "RoadKill."
Amber is a junior at Kennesaw State University studying as a dance major with a concentration in modern. This will be her 5th consecutive semester as a member of the KSU Dance Company. She is thrilled to be performing again with the company this fall and at ACDA in the spring.
Nicole is a Junior here at Kennesaw State University where she is working toward two bachelor degrees in Psychology and Dance. She is from Snellville, Georgia where she trained with the Northeast Atlanta Ballet and the Brookwood High School Dance Department. She has studied Classical Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and various Ballroom styles; she has also choreographed numerous pieces and has gone back to her home department to guest choreograph and teach. Nicole is very excited to be in company this semester and is looking forward to her relationship with Kennesaw State University.
Darvensky is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University. This is his third semester with the company. He is a dance major and is also a modern concentration. He has had the opportunity to film and dance for some major dance companies like Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre and Gotta Dance Contemporary. Darvensky is excited and ready for a challenging semester with the Kennesaw dance company.
This is Valerie's second semester at KSU and with the KSU Dance Company. She is a dance major with a modern concentration. She was a part of the Peachtree Ridge High School dance program for 4 years, directed by Courtney Ondre. She also attended, Southern Performing Arts Academy, directed by Alicia and Brandon Chitwood, and danced in their company, Southern Ballet Theatre for 5 years. Valerie and her studio also participated and performed at South East Regional Ballet Association ( SERBA). She is very excited to continue my journey with the KSU dance company
Simona is a freshman at Kennesaw State University. She is a dance major with a concentration in modern, and a journalism major as well. Before dancing, Simona was a competitive gymnast for 10 years. She is thrilled to be a part of the KSU dance company, and hopes to continue for years to come!
Christina is a freshman at Kennesaw State University where she is majoring in dance with a concentration in modern. She has been dancing for 16 years and previously danced with South Georgia Ballet Conservatory. This is her first semester with the KSU dance company and she is thrilled to be a part of the program.
Kirklyn is a senior at Kennesaw State majoring in dance with a concentration in ballet and a minor is business management. This will be Kirklyn's fifth and final semester in the Kennesaw dance company and is excited to be a part of it one last time.

Captain of the Eighth Street Singing Company He has a background in hip hop and is pursuing Dance further to expand his knowledge and diversify his abilities. James is excited to continue Pursuing the art he loves and be a part of the Company community.
Taylor is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University. She is a dance major with a ballet concentration. Taylor was born in Michigan and moved to Georgia from Cleveland, Ohio two years ago. She trained with the Cleveland ballet and Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theater. Taylor has had the opportunity to dance with the Cleveland Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, as well as the Moscow Ballet. She is very excited to be dancing with the KSU Dance Company.
Christina Massad, a double major, is a senior modern concentration and is entering her 5th semester with the KSU Dance Company. She's grateful to be working with the guest resident for the 3rd consecutive year. Christina is also honored to be elected as the KSU Dance Public Relations Officer for the 3rd year in a row. She is excited for this year and to be interning for Atlanta-based dance company, Fly on a Wall.
Caroline is a sophomore dance major with a modern concentration and has been dancing for 16 years. She was a member of Dance Dynamics Dance Company, the Middle Georgia Youth Ballet, and the Nutcracker of Middle Georgia. She also attended the Governors Honors Program for Dance in 2014.
Madeline is a first-year dance major with a concentration in modern dance. She previously trained with Covington Regional Ballet under the direction of Ashley and Peter Swan. This is her first semester in company and she is excited to work with the KSU dance choreographers and instructors.
Christy is a senior majoring in dance with a modern concentration, though she plans to pursue production in the future. Christy was the Stage Manager for the opening of the KSU Dance Theatre. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Production Award.
Lauren is a senior at Kennesaw State University. She is a dance major with a concentration in ballet. This is her fourth semester as part of the KSU Dance Company. Lauren is so excited to be performing with such a wonderful cast!
Isaac is a seasoned senior in the KSU Dance Company. Having had wonderful and enriching opportunities to perform in works by many talented Faculty, Guest, and Student choreographers, as well as choreographers in the local Atlanta Metro area, he is honored and delighted to be alongside fellow company members for this Fall Season.
Olivia is a senior and has been in company for four KSU Dance productions. She has danced professionally with companies such as Ballet Southeast and Gotta Dance Contemporary. In addition to performance, Olivia studies production and has been Stage Manager and on crew for multiple KSU productions including the Vail Dance Festival in Colorado. Olivia is passionate about bringing the arts into her community and also serves as Events Chair for the National Honors Society for Dance Arts.
Veronica is a Junior at Kennesaw State University and is dance major with a concentration in modern. She has been dancing for 7 years under the training of Academy of Ballet, Dancer's Studio Backstage, and Atlanta Dance Theater. This is her first semester as a dance major and she is so excited to be part of the KSU Dance Company!
Amir is a Junior at Kennesaw State. She is a ballet concentration originally from Baltimore, Maryland. This is her third semester with the dance company and she is excited to be serving as the president this year.
Jordan is a junior dance major at Kennesaw, concentrating in ballet. In addition to her dance major, she is pursuing a second major in Public Relations. This is her fourth semester participating in the KSU Dance Company, and she is so excited to continue performing with such a wonderful program.
Luke is a dance major with a ballet concentration at Kennesaw State. He comes from Dancentre South with Marcus Alford and Annie Day and has also trained with Ballet Austin, Nashville Ballet, and also attended IBC 2010. This will be his fourth fall performance.
Bre was born and raised in Washington D.C. After relocating from D.C to Buford Georgia, Bre trained with The Royal Dance Academy. She has been dancing for 13 years and is a modern concentration dance major, with a minor in computer information systems. She is excited to be a apart of the KSU Dance company as a sophomore.
Stephanie is a junior here at Kennesaw State University and has had the amazing opportunity to participate in company for the past 2 years. She is excited to spend another semester performing with KSU Dance Company this fall. Stephanie is also a English secondary education major with a minor in dance.
Calla is a senior dance major at KSU with a concentration in ballet. She was on the KSU Dance Production Crew for one semester and is now performing with the KSU Dance Company for the fifth semester. During her time at KSU, Calla has also danced with local companies Ballet South East and Moto Artis.
Claire is a junior here at Kennesaw State University. She is a nursing major with minors in both dance and gerontology. Over the past two years, she has performed with the Kennesaw State Dance Company each semester. She is excited to be given this opportunity this semester and can't wait for the show!

Emily is an incoming Freshmen dance major with a ballet concentration at Kennesaw State. In high school, Emily was Sugar Plum Fairy in the 2016 performance of The Nutcracker, and she also performed as Odette in the 2016 performance of Swan Lake. She is excited to expand her performance experience through the Kennesaw State University Dance Company.
Taylor is a freshman at KSU as a Dance Major with a concentration in Modern. She has been dancing for 15 years now at Cartersville School of Ballet and Impact Dance of Atlanta in ballet, modern, pointe, jazz, hip hop, and tap. With many dance performances behind her, including DisneyLand/World parades and Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, she can't wait to experience this new journey in the KSU Dance Company!
Emily is a senior at KSU with a major in dance and minor in public relations. This will be her fourth semester dancing with the KSU dance company. She has been dancing for 17 years and training in many styles including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and more. She performed in the Nutcracker of Cherokee County for several years. She also performed in the AboutFace Professional Ensemble. Emily is excited to perform in the KSU dance company her senior year!
Kimberlee was born in Virginia and moved to Georgia at the age of three. Kimberlee is a freshman at Kennesaw State University. She is majoring in dance with a concentration of modern and also majoring in education. She started dance at the age of three and attended high school at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, Florida as a dance major. She has danced for fifteen years and is beyond excited to start her sixteenth year of dance with the Kennesaw dance department.
Fall 2017 Production Crew
Maggie is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University, where she studies English and Dance. She is very excited to be learning all about the production side of putting on a show this semester. Maggie loves dancing as well as choreographing, and she feels very blessed to have done both for Bluebird Uncaged, a dance collective based in the Atlanta area. She is also thrilled to be studying dance from the incredible faculty of the KSU Dance Department.
Anna is a sophomore at Kennesaw State University and is a dance major with a Modern concentration. This is her first year on production and she is excited to be a part of this semester's show!
Hope is from Peachtree City, Georgia, is a freshman, double majoring in Dance with a Ballet Concentration and Biology. She has been dancing since the age of three and trained most recently as a Pre-Professional student at the Atlanta Ballet. Hope is thrilled to continue her dance education at Kennesaw State University, while further growing in her technique in all areas of dance.
Victoria is a junior at Kennesaw Dance State University. She has been the Dance Company before but this is her first time working with the Production Crew. She is looking forward to working with Mr. Tatu!
Carly is a senior at Kennesaw State University. She is a double major in International Business and Dance with a minor in Spanish. She has been a part of KSU Dance Compnay before, but this is her first semester taking part in production crew, and is excited to learn from Mr. Tatu.
Megan is a sophomore dance major with a concentration in ballet. She previously trained and now teaches at Hickory Flat Dance Academy. Megan has been a part of the KSU Dance Company for one semester and this is her second semester being on the KSU Dance Production Crew. She is excited to learn more about the production side of dance and is very excited to be a part of the KSU Dance program.
Morgan is a senior this year and has been widely recognize and heavily involved within the university. In 2017, Morgan has been booked for numerous Television and Film Projects. She had her first deal directing on Netflix with Producer Zaytoven. Kennesaw's AASA awarded her with the Black Girl Magic's Award for Artistic Muse. Currently, Morgan is working on more film projects, including a choreography deal with MTV and BET Networks.
Sydney is a Senior dance major with a concentration in Modern dance. This is her second semester on production crew. She is excited to learn some of the bigger roles in the backstage production area.
Erin is a freshman at Kennesaw State University. She has danced the majority of her life but this is her first time doing crew. She is excited to learn and experience new things while at KSU dance.
Andrée is a Sophomore, KSU Dance Major with a concentration in ballet. This is her first year being a part of the production crew. Andrée is excited to learn about dance production and to be a part of the KSU Dance Company.
Corinne is a freshman Dance major at Kennesaw State University. She recently graduated from the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts as a Dance major. She is excited for crew to be her first experience with the KSU Dance Company.
